Prime minister Abiy Ahmed accepted resignation of Amir Aman the Minister of Health (MOH) of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Here is the full resignation letter
Dear friends and fellow compatriots,
I am grateful to our Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, for allowing me to serve the people of Ethiopia as the Minister of Health, for the unwavering support and firm faith in my work, and for accepting my resignation.
I am humbled and grateful to my colleagues and all development partners for all the work we have accomplished together; the initiatives we have spearheaded; and the positive contribution we have made as a team. I am confident that the energetic and competent workforce will continue to fill the gaps in the health sector.
Since I earned my medical degree a decade ago, I have served the public at different capacities including at the capacity of the Minister of Health since April 2018.
I have dedicated my whole life, energy, and knowledge with no limitation working in every role. More importantly, my stay in the Ministry has shaped my vision for my life, my country, and the world at large.
It has enabled me to become the person I am and taught me to become a public servant. While I will be gone from my current role, I will always be tied to the continued success of this ministry. I pledge to serve as an ardent ambassador of the Ministry of Health, wherever I go, throughout my career.
Thank you Amir Aman
