Ethiopia Condemns Drone Attacks on Saudi's Oil Plants

Ethiopia today condemned the attack on two Aramco plants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the last Saturday.

The Ethiopian Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement the solidarity of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with the Kingdom’s leadership and people, stressing that such attacks are not only undermining the stability of the global energy markets but also posing a threat to the regional security and international peace.

Last Saturday, drone attacks claimed by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck two key oil installations inside Saudi Arabia, damaging facilities that process the vast majority of the country’s crude output and raising the risk of a disruption in world oil supplies.

The Saudi-led military coalition battling Yemen’s Houthi movement alleged the attacks were carried out with Iranian weapons, raising the prospect of a global conflict involving the United States and Iran.
