Eight people were injured after an ambulance heading from Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar collide with a bus at East Gojjam zone, Amhara Mass Media Agency reports.
According to AMMA the ambulance was allegedly transporting seven passangers who are not patients.
Those people who suffered serious injuries in the crash have been taken to Debre Markos and Lumame hospitals and got medical treatments, according to Inspector Gobeze Yirsaw East Gojjam Zone Police communication.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Inspector Gobeze said that there were merchants and other passengers in the ambulance, not the patients. He also said that ambulances should be used only for authorized purposes only.
