Investigation report on the failed ‘coup attempt’ in regional which resulted in the death of officials, which will be released soon, Amhara regional police announced today.
In a Parliament question and answer session in the Amhara National Regional State Council, Abere Adamu, Amhara region police commission commissioner and deputy president of the region, respond to questions on the June 22 attack raised from the members of the council.
According to Ethiopian Press Agency, 113 from the 218 people who were arrested in connection with the attack are released.
On June 22, three regional officials including the president were killed in Amhara regional state in a failed – ‘Coup attempt’ said to be led by Amhara security chief Asaminew Tsige.
