Addis Ababa Police Commissioner Retires

MG Degife Bedi, removed as Addis Ababa Police commissioner, according to Reporter newspaper.

Degife has served as a commissioner for nine months after assigned by Prime minister Abiy Ahmed, replacing Yihdego Seyum the former commissioner.

According to the reporter the reason why he is removed from his position is unknown, yesterday Degife received a letter which informs about his retirement.

Prior to his appointment, the commissioner has served in the army for several years.

The reporter confirmed that Degife’s retirement has no connection with any problem in his office yet a health condition.
