Bereket Simon and Tadesse Kassa, the former EPRDF officials Arrested today on suspects of corruption.
The suspects have been arrested by the Federal government this morning, from his residence off Africa Avenue.
Speaking at the press conference, Zigale Gebyehu Amhara regional state police commissioner, said that the suspects are taken to Bahir Dar and their case will be seen by the regional court.
The commission also announced that enough documents are collected to convict the suspects.
Months ago Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) suspended veteran politician Bereket Simon and Taddese Kassa (Tinkishu), who was the former TIRET Corporate CEO, from the party’s Central Committee membership.
According to sources, both will be investigated for inappropriate conduct in running TIRET ADP’s conglomerate.
Amhara regional state anti-corruption office announced today that it would report all the details of the investigation on Bereket and Tadesse.
