Aiming at improving the country’s investment climate, Ethiopia launched a national initiative today.
According to Office of the Prime Minister – Ethiopia the initiative is an integral part of Ethiopia’s Action Plan for Jobs and expected to make Ethiopia a competitive place to start and grow businesses.
The government has an essential role in identifying and addressing constraints that prevent the private sector from growing and generating jobs, the office stated.
Ethiopia needs job-creating growth. Successful businesses and entrepreneurs drive jobs growth.
The newly established initiative which will be directed by the prime minister it identifies over 80 distinct actions to be delivered across ten government agencies.
According to the office, the reform measures will be monitored by the Policy and Performance Unit of Office of the Prime Minister and coordinated by the Ethiopian Investment Commission.
