Ethio telecom announces Credit Airtime Service for prepaid mobile customers as of today September 1, 2018.
Credit Airtime Service will enable prepaid mobile subscribers to get extra airtime when the customers having a low balance and no balance at all.
According to the report from Ethio telecom, the airtime credit service will allow customers to get five to 100 birr credit services which will be deducted when they recharged their balance.
The service will also allow users to transfer the balance for a third-party mobile user.
In order to get additional credit access customers are obliged to pay the first credit, according to Ethio telecom.
Customers who have charged their mobile balance with at least 30 birrs in a month time are eligible for the services.
Subscribers can send letters A, L, or C to 810 in order to get the airtime credit services which is offered by Ethio telecom.
The newly introduced services will be effective as of today, according to a statement.
On August 22, 2018, Ethio telecom introduced new tariffs, the company made massive tariff reductions on Mobile Voice, Mobile Internet/Data, Mobile SMS, M2M Package and Fixed Broadband usage tariffs.
It reduced 43% on mobile internet, 40% on a voice call, 43% on SMS, 33 – 44 % on mobile internet package, and 54% on broadband internet services. In addition to reducing tariffs, the telecom revoked requirements to register new phones while it suspended the sale of mobile broadband Sim cards.
